Chapter 50

Taylor had no more time to ponder the situation. Every one was herding into the club.

While they were waiting, Zac laughed.

"Hey look! It's Michael Jackson."

Well, not exactly... Nick grinned.

"Actually, that's Babsie impersonating him. She's pretty damn good huh?"

"Now that you mention it..." Zac said, a grin on his face. "I don't recall Jackson ever having a chest like that."

Isaac and Taylor looked over at her, him, whatever. Then they looked at each other.

"The Michael Jackson thing." Isaac whispered to him.

Taylor nodded slowly.

A few minutes later they were finally able to sit down. There was another impersonation after Babsie had finished the Jackson song, this time by a couple of guys ripping off M2M.

"Next up we have our very own jazz singer Rita Masters." The MC said after the M2M 'impersonation'.

The colour practically drained from Taylors' face as his eyes fell on the girl that appeared from the wings and walked to the microphone in the middle of the stage.

"Oh my... well, I never would have believed it." Diana whispered.

Walker looked at her, then they all look at Rita.

Rita didn't seem to notice them at first. Her eyes travelled around the room with her amazing, sensuous voice filling their ears. Then her eyes met Taylors'. It was as if all time stopped. Taylor felt as if she was singing for him, and him alone. Like there was no else in the room, and no one else in the world mattered.

Rita was Her.

Taylor was mesmerised. This was the moment he had been waiting for his entire life. Tears glisten in all four of their eyes. It was probably a good thing Rita was not wearing mascara.

"Thank you." Rita said softly, as her set finished, which was over all too soon.

"Ok, we're going to have a quick instrumental while our next impersonation gets ready." The MC announced as she left the stage.

Taylor sighed. His family looked at him.

"We'll get to see her." Isaac assured him. "She's Babsies' cousin remember?"

He nodded.

There seemed to be an uncomfortable silence. After all, none of them ever actually believe that She - err, Rita - actually existed.

"Oh no." Zac's voice gasped, breaking the silence. "I do not like what I'm seeing on the stage right now."

They all looked. There was a drum kit, two keyboards, and three people wearing blonde wigs. One of which was holding a guitar.

Isaac started laughing.

"Hey Tay, the one at the keyboards has boobs." He teased.
