Ahh, Tulsa, home, sweet home. They had arrived back just the day before and now Isaac, Taylor and Zac were roller blading around the neighbourhood, greeting their friends.
At one stage during the day they decided to cut through the park on the way to some of their friends hangouts, when someone caught Isaac's eye.
"Hey, I'll be back in a sec." He said to his brothers.
"Ok." They replied.
Isaac made his way over to the person.
"Alanna?" he asked.
Alanna turned around.
"Ike? What are you doing here?"
"We live here." Isaac replied, closing the distance between them.
"I, I know that I just -"
She was cut off as he leant forward and kissed her. For a few moments they were indulged in a passionate kiss, and then she pulled, and turned away.
"No, Ike, we mustn't."
"Damn it Alanna! Why? I love you Alanna, can't you see that?"
"Ike... Ike we had a couple of wonderful months together." Alanna replied, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"I know." Isaac answered, once again closing the distance, putting his arms around her waist.
"And then you started on the record."
"Is that what this is all about?" he asked, lowering his neck and resting it on her shoulder.
"Ike, I know you called me every night, and I loved the small amount of time we spent together. I was just getting used to the distance when, when you went to L.A."
Isaac said nothing as she continued.
"Oh Ike, I must have made every girl in the office jealous whenever those flowers would just show up for me. My gosh, you must be the sweetest, most wonderful guy in the whole world... but it's just not the same. It's not just enough to have phone calls and gifts, I needed you."
"I, I'm sorry Al -"
"Sorry won't change anything Ike." Alanna said, turning around to face him, her face only inches away from his. "It'll only be worse when you start touring. I'll hear from you less and less, and I can't survive in a relationship like that."
Isaac traced her face with his hands.
"Alanna, we can make this work. I mean it. Please just give me one more chance."
"No Ike." She replied shaking her head sadly. "You're gonna make someone a wonderful husband some day. I'm just sorry it won't be me."
Alanna started walking away, but Isaac grabbed her and kissed her again.
"Please Alanna." He begged as she pulled away, tears streaming down both their faces.
"You'll get over me Ike. But I don't think I'll ever get over you."
And on that, Alanna ran, leaving him standing miserably as his first love left his life. Forever.
