Chapter 100

Zac sat next to Cassie on the verandah.

"So the tour is over. Ike and Babsie have finally gone on their Honeymoon, and she's three months pregnant."

"Gee, Ike works fast huh?"

Zac snickered.

"They only had a week after the wedding. I would say so. Rita's six months along. Sarah and Marie are now two. Mike, Sam and Morgan are seven months old."

He looked at her.

"And poor little me, seventeen years old, still being tutored and no girlfriend."

Zac gave her a little puppy dog look.

"Yeah, but you have a million fans, been round the world a few dozens times and make a ton." Cassie pointed out.

"Yeah, but see, I want a girlfriend. See, there's this girl that I really, really like, and no matter how many times I tell her, she refuses to believe me."

"Zac." Cassie complained.

There was quiet for a moment.

"Zac, I know you. I'm not going to let you hurt me."

"I'm not going to hurt you. Besides, in order to be hurt, don't you need to have feelings first?"

A smile grew on Zacs' face as he said this while Cassie's began to redden.

"Ah ha! I knew it. I knew you liked me too. Please, be my girlfriend Cassie. Please? Pretty please? Pretty, pretty please with a cherry on the top?"

"I don't like cherries."

"Ok, pretty, pretty please with no cherries on the top?"

Cassie laughed.

"Oh, you silly."

Zac nodded vigorously.

"Of course!" he laughed.

Cassie shook her head in amusement. Then she leaned over and kissed him.

"You know, it took you long enough to figure out I liked you." She said with a giggle. "I only ever went out with Mark to make you jealous."

Zac gaped at her.

"You're kidding! What about the other guys?"

Cassie shrugged.

"I figured you didn't like me."

Zac just laughed and gave her a hug.
