Zoe practically waltzed into Sarah's hospital room. She looked her sister up and down.
"Well, you look terrible."
"Thanks a lot."
Zoe grinned.
"How you been?"
"I've been better."
"Aww."
"Is there... is there a reason why you're here?"
"Aren't I allowed to visit my sister in hospital?"
"Yes, it's just... I didn't expect you..."
Zoe shrugged.
"I just wanted to tell you that I talked with the doctor, did some tests, and it turns out that we're compatible."
"Huh?"
Zoe smiled at Sarah.
"What I'm trying to say is... I'd like to donate a kidney... if you'll accept."
Sarah stared.
"Wha-what?"
"I want to donate a kidney - I know you need a transplant. Of course, I believe a whole bunch of your fans have been wanting to donate a kidney to you, so if you'd rather -"
"No! No. Zoe this is..." Sarah was getting teary-eyed. "Zoe, this is the nicest thing you've ever done for me."
"Then you accept?"
"Of course I do! I'm just... surprised, I... oh gosh, thank you so much!"
Zoe was all smiles and gave Sarah a hug.
"I know we haven't always gotten along. But you're my sister. And you're in need of something I can give. So I want to give it."
Sarah nodded, tears starting down her cheeks as she returned the smile.
The sisters spoke for a little longer, and then Zoe had to leave.
"I'll talk to you again soon," she promised Sarah.
"Okay," Sarah replied. "Thanks again."
"No problem."
