Chapter 8

Zac grinned at the camera and rubbed his hands together gleefully. He was shooting the live episode of I Must Have Been Insane That Day.

"Okay so if you never buy Music Magic, then you're gonna start by buying this months' issue," Zac said. "Why? Because in it is a voting form for the first ever Insanity Awards. I figure, hey if everyone else has an awards show, then why can't I? All forms must be in before the end of next month, so get cracking!"

Mackie, who was watching at his home, glanced at the voting form.

"He has certainly thought up some interesting awards."

"Some?" repeated Sandy. "Not one 'most popular', 'best' or 'most outstanding' among them. They're all 'most insane'."

"Which proves they're called the Insanity Awards for good reason."

Some of the categories were "Most Insane Movie", "Most Insane single", "Most Insane New Band", "Most Insane Drama Show", "Most Insane Comedy", "Most Insane Comeback For a Band After Ten Years or More", "Most Insane Dance" and "Most Insane Hair Do".

"Where did he come up with this stuff?" Rita asked, shaking her head in another part of the States.

"It's Zac. What more explanation do you need?" Taylor shrugged.

"And we sent Morgan to live with him?" Rita giggled.

"Hmm, I see your point. We should just ring 'em up and tell her to come home, shouldn't we? Much safer."

"Or maybe she should be staying with Jess instead."

"Yeah... but it is Zac's friend she's been working with."

"Hmm. Good point," Rita smiled. "So, do you want to fill it out?"

"Fill what out?"

"The voting form."

"Want to do it together?"

"Okay. Oh and I know exactly who to put down for Most Insane Hair Do."

"Xavier?"

"Yep."

"Did you noticed he got some more hair dye today? I think he's going to dye his hair again."

"What colours?"

"I'm not sure. I think I saw orange, green and some other colour, but that could just mean he hasn't decided yet. Something tells me he's inherited his mother's tendency to dye her hair as the mood takes her."

"Quite possibly. Oh look, all this talking and not only did we miss what else Zac had to say -"

"Zac doesn't have to say anything."

"- but now the ads have started."

"Typical."
