Morgan regarded Will closely.
"Okay, that's it. Out with it."
He looked at her in surprise.
"Out with what?"
"Whatever it is that you're trying to hide from me. Ooh! It's a girl isn't it?" Her eyes glittered. "I am so right."
Will tried to hide his flushed face.
"Now, now, now. None of that. We've been working together way too long now for me not to know when you're hiding something delightful."
"Delightful? Is that what you call it?"
"Absolutely."
"Well, perhaps I don't want to tell you."
"It's not me is it?"
"You?"
"This chick you have a thing for."
"Uhh... no."
"Then I see no reason at all why you wouldn't want to tell me," Morgan paused. "Unless 'she' is really a 'he', and he was my brother..."
Will blanched.
"No way."
"So, tell already."
"Can't we get on with the script?"
"Not until you tell me."
Silence.
"Oh, fine, fine. It's Caro."
"Caro? You like Caro? But she's dating -"
"You don't think I know that already? Do you have any idea what it feels like to be crazy about someone who loves someone else?" Will looked quite miserable. "I hate coming here sometimes. It drives me insane when I see them kissing. It just makes me want to..."
"Just a teensy bit jealous are we?"
"Don't tease a man in pain."
Morgan's expression went from mischievous to sympathetic.
"Sorry. Now that I know why you didn't want to move in with us when we made the offer after Paul left."
Will smiled softly.
"Guess I don't really trust myself not to punch Jesse's light out," he snorted, "or just start kissing Caro."
Morgan patted his hand. At the same time Caroline and Jesse came waltzing into the room.
"Ooh Morgan! Will! We've got great news," Caroline said giddily.
"Oh?" asked Morgan.
"Caro proposed," Jesse laughed.
"I even got him a ring!"
"We're getting one for her tomorrow."
They kissed. Morgan and Will stared.
"You're, you're getting married?" Morgan asked finally.
"Yep!"
"Congratulations," Will said quietly. "I'll ahh, I'll talk to you later Morgan."
He left and Jesse regarded Morgan curiously.
"Girl troubles," Morgan replied before giving her friends a hug. "Congratulations you two."
