Rose looked up from her homework.
“Yeah?”
“Could you help me with something?”
“What?”
“I’m trying to write this song,” she paused tentatively. “It’s about Him.”
“Oh. Well, sure. I’ll meet you in the studio?”
“Okay. Thanks.”

Morgan’s feet were resting on the coffee table and she was sprawled on the lounge, the remote control in her hand. Caroline wandered in and looked at her with an amused smile.
“Writers block huh?”
Morgan looked up.
“Yep. Is it that obvious?”
“Well, you don’t tend to watch a lot of TV,” Caroline observed. “Whatcha watching?”
“Umm… that show with Colin Hanks’ kids. Cam and Mac? The fact that there are twins in the show is the only reason why I haven’t changed the channel,” Morgan laughed. “I guess knowing so many twins, and being a triplet myself gives me a bit of an interest in other multiples.”
Caroline nodded and sat down next to her.
“The actors are all talented people, but the show sucks.”
“Hear, hear. So, how was your class?”
“Don’t remind me.”
“Oops,” Morgan giggled.
“I can’t wait to get to the club tonight. Hey, you should come with me. I bet there’ll be something - or someone - that’ll break your block.”
“Think you can smuggle me in?”
“Oh sure. No worries.”
“Count me in then.”
“Hey have your bros started working on their next album yet? I know they finished their tour ages ago.”
“Well, I know they’ve been writing like, by themselves and in pairs. They don’t have any plans to go into the studio yet, but I think they’re finally getting their act together and actually starting to work on some demos. Things have been a bit weird since Adam moved out.”
“Weird how? Wait, Adam moved out? Since when?”
“I didn’t tell you? It was sometime in the middle of last year. He and Dad had a huge fight because, well, he found out Adam had a boyfriend. So he and Mischa moved in together. They haven’t spoken since,” Morgan didn’t look happy about it. “Adam came over for Christmas but he and Dad didn’t even acknowledge each others presence.”
“Ouch. Hey do you suppose when they do record their album, they could stay here?”
Morgan stared at her.
“Okay, first of all, where would they sleep? We haven’t got that much room. And secondly, you do realise that ‘they’ would include Xavier, right? Believe me when I say that he is the last person you want to share a house with.”
“I hear lots of people say stuff like that, but he’s not really that bad, is he?”
“Depends on who you talk to. His girlfriend hates being separated from him. She’s either desperate, on drugs or they deserve each other.”
Caroline laughed.
