Chapter 75

That was October. It was now December and they were taking a break for Christmas before starting off on another tour.

"Hey Babs!" Isaac called. "Give us a hand here."

Babsie sauntered off, adjusting Carmen on her hip.

"Yo?" she asked.

"What do you think of these guys?" he asked her, putting headphones over her ears. "You seem to be pretty good at predicting the musical market."

Babsie smiled and listened carefully. When the songs on the demo CD had finished, she took the headphones off.

"Well, what did you guys think?" she inquired.

Taylor shrugged.

"I thought they were pretty good. I certainly wouldn't have a problem with signing them up. What about you guys?"

"There's a lot of good stuff in those demos." Walker replied.

"Well, you know..." Zac added slowly. "I'm not sure exactly. Like, we'd definitely have to check up one of their performances, make sure they are what they seem to be... but yeah, umm, I don't know if it's my style."

"It's not exactly my style either, but they're definitely good." Isaac agreed. "Babs?"

Babsie was quiet for a moment.

"There's a market for them in Europe. They seem to be switching towards this style. Umm, I'm not sure about any where else though. I say, check out a performance, talk to them and work from there. If you do sign 'em, I think they could be big."

In case you hadn't figured it out by now, they had finally started up their own label. That was the idea Babsie had suggested about a year ago as to what Walker should do for a job now. So far, they had signed up only two other artists. One was in the middle of working on an album, the other was getting ready for the radio release of their first single. Naturally, it was called MOE Records.

"Great." Zac said, rubbing his hands together. "So someone find out some of their performances and we'll make a surprise visit."

He was getting that gleeful look on his face again.

"In the meantime, I have kids to check up on." Babsie returned, adjusting Carmen again and leaving the room.

"Ok, that's enough of work." Taylor said, stretching. "I wanna relax for a while."

"In that case, I'll head back home then." Walker said.

"Tell everyone we said 'hi' and we love 'em." Isaac paused, and laughed to himself. "Then again, we could just shout it from the front lawn - you only live across the street."

Walker smiled.

"See you later guys."
