"Hey beautiful." He said.
"Hey." Cassie wasn't looking too well.
Zac stroked her hair.
"I'm glad you've finally woken up. Are you ok?"
"I've had better days."
Zac smiled and kissed her again.
"What is it?" she asked.
"A daughter. We have a daughter."
Cassie smiled, her eyelids drifting between open and closed.
"I, I was thinking, umm, Cassandra Grace, after her mother?"
"What about, Hope instead of Grace?"
"Sure."
Cassie reached her hand up to Zacs' face.
"Zac?" she said.
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
He smiled.
"I love you too."
She gazed to his eyes sleepily.
"I'm tired Zac."
"That's ok. I'm here."
"Stay with me."
"I wouldn't dream of leaving."
Cassie smiled, her eyes closed and she went back to sleep. Zac traced her face softly, feeling a tear begin to trickle down his cheek. He wiped it away.
He started humming. At first he wasn't too sure what it was but then he remembered it was the song he had written while they were in tour. Zac had discovered the tape recording and with his brothers' help he managed to reproduce what he had played, thereby finishing the song.
"I'm gonna play it for you." He promised her. "I'm gonna play it for you before, before you go. I love you Cassie."
Cassie just sighed in her sleep.
