"Like you don't know."
"No, I don't."
There was an angry silence.
"What has gotten into you? Rita was just giving me a sax lesson and you barge in yelling nonsense sentences."
"Oh, yeah, sax lessons. Sure that's what you were doing."
Isaac stared at him.
"What else would we be doing?"
"Oh c'mon, Isaac. You suck at sax. But it's been months since you started. I hardly think it's a -"
"This may come as a complete surprise to you Taylor but the sax is a lot different from a guitar."
"Yeah, but you're not that useless."
"I can't believe we're fighting over how well I play the sax."
"No! That's not it. I know what you and Rita have been doing. Admit it you've -" Taylor couldn't finish the sentence.
Isaac sighed.
"Tay, Babsie told me."
"She what?"
"She told me. Look, there's nothing going on between me and Rita. And I have no idea why you'd get such a ridiculous notion."
Taylor was quiet.
"I'm, I'm sorry. It's just... last time we were in Tulsa, I saw Jade."
"Oh, I see." Isaac paused. "You know what else Babs told me last we spoke? She said it very quickly after I asked her about the check ups."
"What?"
Isaac grinned at him.
"Twins. It's twins."
"Oh wow! Awesome."
"You and Rita ought to get busy if you hope to keep your title."
"Ahh, don't you worry Ike, I'll stay the reigning champion."
"Not for long."
"That's what you think."
"Mainly because Rita doesn't want any more kids just yet."
Taylor opened his mouth. Then closed it again. Then he opened it.
"Yet. Yet being the key word."
Isaac laughed.
