Chapter 34

A couple of days later, Rita and Cassie had left the kids in Babsies' capable hands while they went on a shopping trip.

Someone tapped Cassie on the shoulder, she turned around.

"Peta? Oh my gosh!"

Cassie and Peta hugged.

"Hey, long time no see! Where have you been?" Cassie asked.

"College actually. I'm majoring in marine biology."

"Hey cool. Umm, do you know Rita?"

"No, I don't believe we've met."

"Oh, well, Rita this Peta, Peta, this is Rita. She's Tays' wife."

"Oh." Peta said. "Yeah, I heard he got married. You're a lucky girl."

"Peta used to have a huge crush on him." Cassie teased.

"Say, you look vaguely familiar..." Peta said.

"Yeah you know all those pics Tay used to draw, this is her."

"That's right. I used to think he was crazy. Where'd you finally meet?"

"Australia. My, umm, my mum and dad own a variety club and I was performing there."

"Australia huh? I love your accent."

Rita smiled.

"You get a lot of that don't you?" Cassie grinned.

Rita nodded.

"So, I uhh, heard you married Zac, Cassie." Peta said.

Cassie nodded.

"Eloped even, my gosh girl, it was all over the internet."

Cassie giggled.

"What about Ike? Didn't he end up getting married too?"

"Yeah, to Rita's cousin Babsie."

"Babsie?"

"Her real name is Barbara, but she hates that." Rita explained. "And anyone who calls her 'Barbie' gets a black eye."

Peta started laughing.

"Oh my gosh, I love that song."

Cassie and Rita giggled.

"You tell that to Ike. I think it's, like, the first song they wrote that he didn't like."

"Well, actually, it was mostly Zac." Rita pointed out. "And then Tay. I think Ike only contributed the guitar part."

"Wow, I'd really like to see the guys again before I have to return."

"Oh, sure, not a problem. It'll be great." Cassie invited.
