Chapter 32

"No. No, no, no, no, no. No."

"So, you're saying no?" Zac asked Isaac cheekily.

"C'mon Ike, we released it as a single, how is putting it on a soundtrack any worse?" Taylor pointed out.

"How is it even worse? I'll tell you how, it'll be put on during the movie for a start."

"No kidding." Zac replied dryly.

"Even non-Hanson fans will hear it."

"Oh my goodness, you're joking?"

"And I can't stand that song."

"You're just saying that." Taylor accused. "C'mon man! It was number one on MTV for ages - they had to retire it. And that's just MTV, what about all the other charts Ike?"

"You can't persuade me to have anything more to do with that song."

"Oh yeah?" Zac challenged.

"Yeah."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Do you think we should put it on the soundtrack?" Taylor asked the exact same time that Zac said "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

Taylor and Zac started laughing. Then Isaac groaned realising what had happened.

"No. No way."

"Too late, you agreed!" Zac exulted.

"You tricked me!"

"Yep! Besides Ike, this song is my biggest triumph. If people want it, let 'em have it."

"Yeah Ike. Thanks to you, we don't even play it on tour." Taylor added. "Well, unless someone specifically requests it."

"And I think that I am more than allowed to make up for all the complaining I don't do then. No soundtrack."

"Maybe we should set Babsie on him." Zac suggested.

"Isn't that how this whole this started?" Taylor asked.

"Umm, yep. Hey, I have an idea..."

"What's that?"

"Ok, next time Black Eye is brought up during an interview, we should tell them the truth about what it's about."

Isaac stared at him.

"You wouldn't dare."

Zac grinned evilly.

"This is blackmail." Isaac continued.

"And it's working."

"You know, one day I'm gonna write an embarrassing song about you."

"So, is it going on the soundtrack Ike?" Taylor asked.

Isaac sighed.

"Fine. It's going on the soundtrack."
