"Hey guys, love to chat, but we have a situation."
"Comedy?" Babsie grinned. "Sorry Jarod. What's the problem?"
"Well, you see, a couple of our actors were on their way here, but, ahh, they were in a car accident."
"Oh my gosh, that's horrible! Are they ok?"
"No. Both of them, and the driver - are in critical conditions at the hospital. We have to find people to replace them in half an hour. Half a blinkin' hour!"
"Say, you wouldn't happen to know anyone?" Nick asked suddenly.
"Probably, she knows everyone." Isaac commented.
"What are the parts?" Babsie asked, smiling.
Jarod went into the basic description of one of the roles. Babsie thought for a moment.
"Do you know Tom?"
"Tom?" Jarod asked.
"Tom as in Tom Greene?" Nick questioned. "I know him. I thought he was a model."
"He is. But he sure isn't a very well known one. Let alone well paid." Babsie tossed her mobile phone over to Nick. "Give him a call. His numbers' under 'Greene' and remember it has an 'e' on the end."
"Ok, that's Luke. The other character is Rowena. Umm, same age as Luke..."
Jarod went on to describe what more they knew. Babsie was lost in thought for a few moments.
"Does she have to be Australian?" she asked at last.
"Why, who were you thinking of?"
"Avie."
"Me?"
"Yeah, sure. You're into acting."
"It would mean she would have to stay in Australia." Jarod warned them.
"And none of us could stay with her." Walker added. "Babsie, I don't know about this."
"Oh please?" Avie begged.
"She could stay with us." Jarod offered.
"How many episodes are you planning on doing, and how often?" Babsie asked.
"20 to 30, about once a week."
"So that's... five to eight months thereabouts." She worked out. "That's not all that bad. Just write the part so that Ro could leave at the end of the season or whatever without it being suspicious, and not killing her off of course. It's a sitcom, not a drama. Main characters do not die in sitcoms."
"That's all fine and dandy, but I still don't know about all this." Walker cut in.
"Well, when the guys' tour comes to Australia, you'll get to see her."
"Please dad? I'm thirteen years old, I can take care of myself."
Walker hesitated.
