"What? No hug? No kiss? Not even a hello?" she asked teasingly.
"I'm trying to figure out why you didn't tell anyone you had a contraction straight away."
"Not you too. Everyones' been lecturing me. Gee, you'd think I committed a national offence or something." She turned away from him.
Isaac smiled and stroked her hair.
"Hey, I'm not having a go at you. It just seems, I don't know... a little odd. Not that it's unusual coming from you."
"I was hoping to wait until the ad. I mean, I was in the middle of an interview. It's completely unprofessional."
"I see. So if some maniac shot you in the middle of a show, you would wait for the ad before you would let anyone take you to the hospital?"
"No... I was just, I didn't know what to do ok? I was scared."
Isaac spotted tears seeping from her eyes.
"Hey, don't cry. It's ok."
"I told you I was scared. I told you I was scared of pregnancy before we even talked about getting married. The only one I ever told."
"Oh, Babs, I'm so sorry. I wish I could have been here with you. I'm so sorry."
Isaac gently kissed her cheek.
"But hey, you survived right? You're fine, the babys' fine, everyones' fine."
"He wasn't supposed to come yet." Babsie whimpered. "He was a week, a whole week premature."
"Shh, yeah, I know. But he's fine. Don't worry."
Babsie sniffed.
"I love you Ike."
"I love you too."
There was quiet for a moment.
"So, ahh, I hear out little boy has a claim to fame."
"What's that?" Babsie asked.
"The first person ever to embarrass you."
Babsie giggled.
"Hey, yeah, lucky him. What are we naming him anyway?"
"I can't believe we haven't decided on a name yet."
Babsie grinned.
"Yeah, typical."
"It has to be Clarke something Hanson."
"Something? His middle name is gonna be 'Something'?" Babsie joked. "Oh, gee, well, I'm all for weird, unusual names, but that's a little too weird and unusual, even for me."
"You know what I mean." Isaac answered with a laugh.
"And when it comes to that, what is it with your family and namesakes? Isn't your dads' first name Clarke too?"
"Yep. It's tradition Babs."
"Traditions were made to be broken."
"Why don't you break tradition by not breaking it this time?"
Babsie laughed.
"On one condition."
"What's that?"
"His middle name is 'Xavier'."
"Clarke Xavier Hanson." Isaac said thoughtfully. "Yeah, I can live with that."
