Chapter 75

"Hey guys, welcome back," the host greeted.

"It's good to be back," Taylor replied.

They were going a TV show in the UK.

"How's the tour coming?"

"It's been great. We would have liked to make it longer, but we have all these other responsibilities now."

"Of course, of course. The tour is called 'Father and Son'?"

"Yeah, because we're touring with the Four Amigos, who are Ike and Tay's sons," Zac grinned. "My son isn't old enough to be in a band yet. He's two months."

"Really? Hey congratulations. Speaking of kids, I hear there's a lot of them..."

"Yeah, that's my fault," Isaac smiled ruefully. "I have twenty."

"Wow, what does the little woman think?"

"Well, first of all, if she heard you call her little woman... umm... let's just say I would get a good laugh out of it at your expense. Secondly, she loves them as much as I do."

"I have seven kids, and one more on the way, Zac has three," Taylor cut in.

"Think any others will pursue a musical career?"

"Who knows? I know a few of them have shown interest in music - not that you can escape the musical gene in this family - but whether they want to pursue as a career, I don't know. It's up to them."

"So, what made you decide to tour?"

"We were getting antsy," Taylor grinned. "And if we had managed to do it, we would have recorded some new songs to go with our Best of Hanson album. But obviously that didn't happen. Maybe next time."

"And there will be a next time," Zac said gleefully.

"Speaking of which," said the host. "I have here... a commemorative plaque for you. The Best of Hanson made platinum sales here in the UK."

"Hey cool," said Taylor.

"Awesome," Isaac added.

"Thanks," said Zac. "It'll go well with my drapes."

They all looked at him.

"As you can see, he hasn't changed a bit," Taylor grinned.

"Everyone knows he hasn't changed a bit," the host grinned. "I hear you have your own show, Zac?"

"Yep. It's called 'I Must Have Been Insane That Day."

"That's right. We get it on another channel, but since it's not on this network, we won't go into that."

The Hansons laughed.

"Okay, so back to the tour, what has been the best moment?"

"Well, I guess just performing again," Taylor replied. "It's been awesome, just the crowds and the hype and all that stuff."

"It's been great being on the road again," Isaac agreed.

"I think one of the most memorable moments," Zac said thoughtfully, "was this one guy who showed up at the meet and greet. He was umm, mid teens? Anyway, there was no way he was alive when we first came out, and it turns out that's he a huge Hanson fan, and that we inspired him to take up music. That was... whoa... that was an exhilarating experience, that."

"Yeah, once upon it was us being fans of and meeting bands from before our time," Taylor smiled. "I mean, we still are and do, but... you know we never thought we'd actually be on the other side. Talk about an ego trip huh?"
