"What?"
"Well, that's a pleasant greeting."
"Oh, I'm sorry Taylor, I just sat down."
"Did I catch you at a bad time?"
"It would have been worse five minutes ago. Is it important?"
"Yes. Don't jump to conclusions, okay? But have you been asked any questions about drugs in any interview you've done in the last few weeks."
"Sure. You get that."
"What was your answer?"
Zoe was silent for a moment.
"I'm not doing drugs," she defended.
"Was that your answer?"
"I..." she hesitated. "I tried them. Once. I didn't like them. That's all I said. I swear, I'm not doing them."
"I suggest you make that clear in your next interview, Zoe. Sarah's being called a drug dealer at school."
"What?"
"We have warned you to be careful of what you say, Zoe."
"Oh shut up. Now you're going to get all high and mighty aren't you?"
"Zoe..."
"Look, I found Oliver's old stash in the shoe box. I tried some. I didn't like it and hid the box back where I found it until I got an opportunity to get rid of them. I didn't get an opportunity! I mean, hello, there were other people living there. I didn't want anyone to see me - someone might jump to conclusions."
"Like you are right now? Look, Zac is furious because he doesn't like the fact that he might not be able to trust you anymore. And Zoe, I personally hate it if there were anyone in this family we couldn't trust. So thank you for admitting the truth when asked. And Zoe? I'm not accusing you or anything, but if you ever need to talk to someone about... drugs or whatever, you can come to me."
"Taylor, I'm fine. And besides, what would you know about drugs? Everyone knows you and Ike and Zac are goody-two-shoes."
Taylor managed a short chuckle.
"Yeah, well, the only one who knows is Rita, but I did have a few drug problems. You probably wouldn't remember some of my behaviour patterns during the six months or so before I met Rita, but I did. And I had a fun time getting off them too," he remarked wryly. "The only pills I've taken since are headache tablets and prescribed drugs. Hey, you won't tell anyone will you?"
"You're serious? You... you..."
"Yeah, I did. In fact, I got them the same place Oliver did."
"Where was that?"
"Doesn't matter. He's dead now and his drug ring demolished. He can't hurt this family again."
