"Tay, honey, I think you should look at this."
Taylor looked up at her, a curious yet concerned look on his face brought on by the tone of her voice.
"What is it?"
"Just look."
Taylor took the paper and looked. It was a drawing down the crayons of a person. He frowned.
"What am I looking at?" he asked.
"Charlotte drew that."
"Char draws a lot of things. Usually people."
Rita shook her head vigorously.
"Not people. Person. Person!"
"Person? Ok, so, who is it?"
"I asked her that. She said she didn't know. I asked her if she made him up. She said no."
"You know, now that you mention it," Taylor remarked thoughtfully, "I remember having a similar conversation with her a while back. Do you know who he is then?"
"In a manner of speaking. Tay... Tay I asked her is she didn't know who he was, and yet she didn't make him up, how she could draw him. She said that she sees him all the time."
"A neighbour?"
"No," Rita replied woefully. "No, see, I asked her where too, and she said 'in my dreams'."
Taylor stared, his eyes boggling.
"In her dreams?" he whispered.
Rita nodded. Taylor swallowed.
"Well, I guess, like father like daughter, huh?" a smile grew on his face. "Remember when I used to draw you?"
Rita's worried expression gave away to a big smile.
"Yes I do."
Taylor put his arm around her.
"I remember when we used to dream of each other. How long has it been since the dreams stopped?"
"I think they started fading after the triplets were born."
Taylor nodded.
"Yeah, that sounds about right. I wouldn't worry about Char. We just have to give her the support that... that neither of us got growing up."
"I suppose. Although, Babsie never didn't support me -"
"But she never really believed you either did she? Like my family sent me off to a shrink."
"Babsie always believed that I believed. And that was enough for her."
Taylor kissed her softly.
"Well, I'm sure that everything is going to work out just fine. Don't you worry about Char. She has two parents that believe in what she has to say. And we will never just pack her off to some shrink."
