He flipped it open and immediately remembered.
"That's right. I printed off all the e-mails Meredith and I sent to each other and stuck them in here."
He started flipping through, reading everything they had written to each other.
"What happened to you?" he wondered aloud when he had finished.
Sighing, he closed the notebook and put it back in the drawer.

"Whoo hoo!" Zac exulted.
"What's -" Taylor began.
"Shh!"
Zac turned up the radio. A smile appeared on Taylor's rather melancholy face as he watched his brother start head banging to it.
"Well, that's a song I haven't heard in a while." Isaac commented, walking in.
"Don't knock Black Eye!" Zac said happily, turning the volume down again as the song finished. "It went number one and was put on a sound track and MTV had to retire it! And I wrote it practically all by my lonesome. Don't knock it!"
"Bragger." Taylor joked.
"Which reminds me, I still have to write an embarrassing song about you Zac." Isaac said deviously. "Now, let me see…"
"I have nothing to be embarrassed about."
"Oh yeah? I'm sure I'll find something."
"Don't hold your breath."
"Guys, guys." Taylor interrupted. "I believe we're here to work on a new album?"
"Yeah ok." Isaac said.
They started up to the studio.
"Zac?"
"Yeah Ike?"
"It's gonna be a ballad."
Taylor started snickering at the look of horror on Zac's face.
"Noooo! Not a ballad Ike! If ya gonna write an embarrassing song about me - assuming you can find anything embarrassing - you got to at least be able to head bang to it!"
Isaac paused and looked at him straight in the eye.
"But if you're able to head bang to it Zac, no one will be able to see your face go red."
