"Yo?"
"Hi Zac."
"Peta?"
"Yeah, it's me. How are you?"
"I'm great and you?"
"Good. How's the tour going?"
"Swell. So, what have you been up to?"
"Oh, nothing much. Studying mainly. Actually I had an interesting experience not that long ago."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, my cousin's prom is coming up next month and she like, wants to show up on a motorbike, so of course she drags me along to find a formal outfit made of leather."
Zac laughed.
"Did ya find anything?"
"Are you kidding me? Of course not. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find anything formal that you could wear on a motorbike?"
"She could wear a tux."
Peta giggled.
"Now why am I so totally not surprised you said that? But yeah, we did managed to find something. One of my friends at college is a fashion design major. She designed and made something just for her. The only problem is... umm, well, her boyfriend broke up with her and now she doesn't have the motorbike or a date, so now she's threatening not to go."
"Tell her you regret not going to your high school prom."
"Zac? I never had a high school prom. I never even went to high school - I was home-schooled with you guys."
"That's besides the point."
Peta laughed and there was a brief silence for a moment.
"Umm, I don't suppose you would mind taking her?"
"I knew it. I knew that was coming. Peta, I don't do blind dates."
"But you set Ike up on a million of them."
"Details, details.
"C'mon please Zac? You the only single guy I know anywhere near her age who has a motorbike licence."
"Peta, I don't know. Besides, we're still doing this promo tour and them we have a world one coming up not long after that..."
"Yeah, but you always come home between tours. Won't you be home in May?"
"Won't be there early May. We're coming back on the seventeenth."
"Well, see? That's alright. It's on the twenty-first. C'mon Zac, I know she really wants to go. Besides, don't wanna put all my friends' work to waste."
Zac hesitated.
"She won't wear you make a tux." She added.
"Oh, ok. But I want to meet her first. I don't wanna take someone out who'll scream at me or be a complete bitch or whatever."
And so Zac stayed on the phone with Peta for the next few minutes, working out the details. Then Taylor and Isaac spoke briefly with her, both of whom congratulated her for managing to talk Zac into going out on a date (fortunately Zac wasn't in the room at the time...). The call ended quickly when it came to the guys attention that they had to leave for a press conference.
