"Byron Kyle Hanson?" she read allowed. "And they're gonna call him Kyle. Cool."
Avie noticed someone sit next to her. Having a pretty good idea who it was, she ignored him and groaned inwardly, hoping he wouldn't say anything.
"Oh cool." She said. "Rita's pregnant again. I bet she's happy after losing the last one."
"Are you talking to yourself? You know what they say about people who do that." The guy next to her said.
She ignored him and giggled at her brother's wry comment in the letter.
"Funny huh?"
"Rack off Max."
Ahh, yes, Max Jackson. When Babsie had learned Avie was starring alongside him, she warned her that he was a complete sleaze, fully remembering a certain interview - her first and last with him - a couple of years ago.
Max leaned over her shoulder and softly caressed her neck.
"Rack off." Avie repeated.
"Avie? Max?" called the director then. "We're ready to do the scene now."
In a way, Avie was in a limbo. In the movie their characters were in a relationship. But she seemed to be having trouble reminding Max which was which. It was weird, like she was encouraging him one minute and pushing him away the next. Which, in a sense, was exactly what she was doing. It was so frustrating.
Walking over to the set, Avie couldn't help but think 'damn those kissing scenes'. Which was exactly what this one was.
"Ok, and action."
Well she supposed the good thing about this movie was that their characters were gonna break up after he found out she was cheating on him.
"Ok, cut." The director said.
There was a pause.
"Jackson I said cut!" he waited a moment. "Jackson let her -"
"Ahh!" Max yepled, clutching his groin.
The watching crew stifled laughter and smiles as Avie walked off with a rather annoyed look on her face.
"Jackson, how much longer is it going to take to convince you that Miss Hanson is not interested?" the director asked. "Leave the woman alone. Any more of this harassment, and I'll have you fired."
Max glared at him.
"Oh don't give me that load of bull. We both know I'm the only one who can do the job."
The director was silent.
"Leave her alone Jackson. For your health, your job and your rep. Don't forget who she's related to."
Max didn't reply.
