"Umm, you may not have realised this Zac, but they do have nicknames."
Babsie and Zac were in the lounge room. Some of the kids were happily playing games in there too. Others were in other parts of the apartment.
"Yeah? Big deal. First of all, you said their names would end in 'Sugar', but they end in 'Sprite'."
"Same effect."
"And their names are a protest! We have two white girls named Brown Sprite and Cinnamon Sprite -"
"I so totally knew one was gonna be named Cinnamon."
"They have two black girls names White Sprite and Vanilla Spite -"
"I knew there was gonna be one called Vanilla too."
"And they have a, umm, overweight chick call Castor Sprite."
"Point being?"
"Oh gee Babsie, what do ya think?"
"Dude, please. No matter what the nicknames are, they're still dumb. Just like the Spice Girls."
"And that's another thing too. They said in that interview that they also wanted to rip off the Spice Girls."
"Why are you fighting this Zac?" Babsie asked. "Everyone knows you're gonna ask Kelsey out eventually."
Zac glowered at her.
"Well, everyone's wrong."
The two stared at each other for a moment.
"And they don't dress like sluts either." Zac added.
"Brown Sprite does."
"Oh please you two." Rita spoke up. "Why don't you just call it a draw?"
They looked over at her.
"Well, that kinda takes away the whole point of the bet does it?" Babsie remarked.
"So? It was a silly bet anyway."
Zac folded his arms.
"Well, if it's a draw, I still wanna prize."
"What about if Babsie shows you the secret passages on the condition that you ask Kelsey out on a date within… umm, well, when we get back."
Zac hesitated.
"See? That's the thing. I don't wanna ask anyone out on a date. And if I ask Kelsey, she'll read too much into it - just like any girl - and -"
"Fine, what if you can ask any girl out, but if you don't go out on a date by the time we've been back in Tulsa for say… two week - no make it before we go on the world tour, you don't get to see the secret passages. And… and if the person you ask out - the first person - is not Kelsey, the you only see half the passages." Babsie said.
Zac thought this over for a moment.
