Chapter 33

Mark took a sip of his coffee and shook his head.

"I have never seen anyone pick up the trombone so quickly in my life." He said incredulously.

Babsie grinned.

"She is pretty good isn't she?"

"She's be a lot better if her arms were a little longer. Can't quite get some of the notes because of that, but still... Zoe's playing pieces I wasn't playing until my third year. And she's only been learning for one."

She adjusted Tobias's position on her lap.

"Yeah, that's just freaky man. And I think a few of her siblings - which shall remain nameless - are a little jealous."

Mark grinned back.

"Well, if you're the only musical prodigy in a musical family, you're bound to get that."

"You going to LA with 'em next week?"

"Well, Zoe hasn't completely mastered the trombone yet..."

"I figured that, it's just that I know you have a wife, so, you know."

"Oh, she's coming with me. I take it you're not going."

"No. Ike and I having finally gotten through all the paperwork. We're finally gonna have some construction done."

Mark laughed.

"Oh, I am so looking forward to the grand tour."

"You're not the only one." Babsie replied, a gleeful look in her eye. "Just wait 'til you see what we've got planned."

"I can see it's going to be interesting."

"That's the general idea - oh look, he's asleep. I'm just gonna sneak him upstairs."

Mark just smiled.

"Quit checking out my wife." Isaac joked, coming in.

"Hey Ike. You get a lot of problems with that?"

"Nah, only when she's not pregnant."

"Oh, so that's why."

Isaac laughed.

"No. We just like kids."

"And making out."

"Umm, yeah, that too." He grinned.
