"Talk to who?" Babsie asked.
"Mom." Avie replied as Diana walked up behind her.
"About what?"
"Well, you know Mandy Moore?"
"Sure. Been friends for years. Why?"
"She's making another movie."
"Surprise, surprise." Babsie replied dryly.
"Anyway, so she actually rang me up and asked me to be in it!"
"Ah ha! So that's why she wanted your number. I was wondering."
Avie gave her a look, then grinned.
"So, what's the problem?" Babsie asked.
"Mom won't let me go up to LA again to be in it."
Babsie looked at Avie, then at Diana, who sighed.
"It's just that, well, you're always away Avie. I feel like I never get to see you any more. And it's not that I don't want you to be in movies, it's only that you're in LA - or Australia - for months at a time. And what about school -"
"They always have tutoring at the studios. You know that."
"That's not the point -"
"When does Mandy want you up there?" Babsie cut in.
"Well, not for another couple of months. They're still finalising pre-production and auditions have to be done. Mandy's not even asking me to audition! She's offering me a part, straight off the bat!" Avie was obviously very excited by the possibility.
"Well, in a couple of months, we may well be in LA." Babsie said, looking more at Diana than at Avie. "Indecision's record. Sure, nothing's final yet, but you guys will end up in LA during the year to record it."
Diana sighed.
"Yes, yes that's right." She shook her head. "Babsie, I must admit, all this touring is wearing me down."
"Well, there's no need for you to tour with Indecision you know. Like you said, you hardly get to see Avie, why don't you stay with her when they tour?"
Diana nodded slowly.
"It's a good suggestion Babsie. I'll have to talk to Walker about it."
Avie gave Babsie a hug.
"Thank you Babsie!"
"Yeah, yeah, just don't make a habit of dragging me into these, ahh, discussions."
