Babsie gave her a mock-glare.
"Excuse me? I'll have you know 'Igor' means 'hero'."
"Really? I thought it meant 'mad scientists assistant'." Zac joked.
"What about 'deformed and ugly'?" Jess added.
"Don't listen to them Tobe, they're just jealous you have such and cool name and they don't." Babsie said to her newborn son.
It was the Hanson family Christmas get-together. Jess and Austin and flown down from LA, and Zoe and Mackie were back from opening during Dreadnoughts' tour. Isaac and Babsie's baby, Tobias Igor Hanson, was now one month old.
"Can I hold him?" Zoe asked Babsie.
"Sure."
Zoe happily cradled Tobias in her arms.
"He's so cute. And I like his name."
Babsie gave Jess and Zac a look.
"See?"
"Never mind them. Zac's just mad he didn't have a son so that he could have called him that first." Isaac put in.
"Yeah, can't you just see it?" Taylor grinned. "Zachary Igor Hanson."
Zac pulled a face at him.
"Admit it Zac, you so would have liked to name your son that if you had thought of it first."
"Hey umm," Mackie coughed a bit, trying to cover up his cracking voice, "are you guys planning on signing us soon?"
"Well, how did things go with Oliver?" Isaac asked, directing the question at Mackie and Zoe, as well as Walker and Diana.
"Good. We had a great time." Mackie answered.
"No problems." Walker added.
"Well then, why don't we talk about it a bit more after Christmas?" Taylor suggested.
"What are you doing after Christmas anyway?" Austin asked, his fingers intertwined with Jess's.
"We're gonna take a break for a couple of months. Babs and I wanna get our house built, and we want to focus a bit more on our label."
"So, do you two have a date yet?" Diana asked.
"Nope. We were thinking maybe May..." Austin answered.
"Nothing solid." Jess confirmed.
"I can't believe my little sister is getting married." Zac sighed.
"Oh now, maybe now you'll have to pick on Avie's boyfriends." Jess retorted.
"What boyfriend?" Avie asked with a grin.
"What happened to Trey?" Taylor asked.
"He lives in Australia." She replied giving him a 'duh' look. "It was a mutual break-up."
"Oh."
"And you," here she pointed at Zac, "are forbidden to attempt to drive off any future boyfriend I might get."
Zac just grinned mischievously.
