A little while later, Taylor came out again. He had been unaware of the passage of time and by now the whole Hanson family was watching. Taylor barely noticed them and gave Zoe a hug.
"I'm done ok Zoe?"
"Ok." Then she frowned. "What did you do?"
"Never mind."
"So, so what is it?" Diana asked.
Taylor looked up at her.
"Well, from what I gathered." He paused, trying to think of the right words. "Ok, umm, basically, when Zac triggered her, trying to save her from being electrocuted, he left too much of what he calls 'red' electricity in her system."
"I thought Zac said that it wouldn't hurt her." Walker said.
"Well, normally it wouldn't." Taylor answered. "However, this is a young brain and I doubt Zac would normally use that amount of electricity."
"No, no I wouldn't." Zac said quietly. "So, ahh, what, what did it do?"
"There's a little bit of brain damage."
There was silence.
"Oh. My. Gosh." Zac gasped, sitting down, obviously distressed. "Oh. My. Gosh."
"Don't worry Zac." Taylor said hurriedly. "Zoe is going to be ok. I said a little bit. It's only near the part of her brain that she uses to control her powers - that's why she's having problems. But it's nothing we can't fix."
They all looked at him. Taylor looked at Jess.
"Me?" Jess asked.
"You have Healing don't you?" he asked.
"Y-yeah…"
"Well, c'mon."
In a little bit of shock, Jess knelt down next to Taylor and Zoe. She held Zoe's hands. Zoe looked at her curiously as she concentrated. A minute or so later Jess looked at Taylor.
"I could feel something… but I don't know if it's healed yet."
Taylor nodded. He went back into Zoe's mind and came back out quickly to inform them all that the damage was healed and Zoe could now learn to control her powers properly.
