Chapter 4

A week or so later, the guys were on a whirlwind promo tour. Naturally they did some tv appearances.

"So guys, I noticed you've done some magic tricks in one of your video clips, care to fill us in?"

"On how we do them?" Zac grinned. "Never!"

"Yeah, a magician never reveals his secrets." Isaac added.

"Ohh." The hostess complained.

"But, but, we do actually have a couple of trick to do for you…" Isaac said. "Nothing up my sleeves…"

Isaac showed off his rather short sleeves.

"I say the magic words - the magic words - and presto!" he telekinetically moved the pack of card he had under his shirt so that he could easily take them with his hand. "Instant cards!"

"Oh bravo!" the hostess applauded.

"And now, Tay is gonna take these cards and do a little card trick." Zac grinned, passing them from Isaac to Taylor.

"Oh really?" he drawled. "I didn't even know you planned this."

"Yeah, go on Tay." Isaac encouraged.

"Oh ok… I'm gonna need, some volunteers from the audience…"

Let's consider that it was a live audience… what type of reaction do you think that got?

"Ok, ok, how many?"

"Oh, somewhere in between one and fifty-two." Taylor grinned.

The hostess laughed.

"Ok then, well, how about the girl in the red shirt on the third row, uhh…" the hostess picked out two others.

"Right, ok, now can you fan out the cards and have each other the girls pick out one?" Taylor asked her. "I am gonna turn away, because I don't want to see what they are. Just show the cards to the audience and let me know when you're done."

While the cards were being shown to the audience, Taylor let loose one of his deep telepathic probes and sent it over to the girls' minds to he could pick up from their immediate thoughts what cards they were.

"Ok, they're ready Tay.' Zac said.

Taylor turned around.

"All right… want me to start tell you what cards you have?"

"Yeah, sure, go ahead." The hostess replied.

"Ok, ok, umm, Carlie has the two of spades. Lucy has the Queen of hearts. And Karen had the five of diamonds."

"How'd he do that?"

There was applause and laughter.

"So, Zac, you have a trick?" the hostess asked.

"Umm, yes, yes I do." He said.

"You do?" Taylor asked.

"Sure. And this trick you can do at home. All you need is a penny. The coin, not the girl." He said. "Ok, now put the penny on your right palm, face up ok? Got that? Good. Now, put your left hand over the coin like this… ok now shake your hands to the left… to the right… over your head… got that? Ok, good. Ok, now stand up, and turn around into three circles… and sit down. Now slowly and carefully take your left hand off… ok, now blow on the coin…"

"Is this gonna take much longer?" Isaac asked.

"Shh!" Zac hissed, before continuing. "Ok now rub the coin against your forehead… ok, now what you have is a magic coin. And tonight, put it under your pillow and in the morning it will have turned into a dollar coin."

Isaac and Taylor watched as Zac stifled a laugh.

"Umm, don't forget to tell your parents all about it."
