"Thank you - Rachel?"
For Rachel had suddenly let out a groan and fell forwards, which in an interesting concept when you're sitting on the ground. Taylor caught her neatly.
"Rach?" he asked again.
In moments it was over.
"Oh." she moaned.
"Rach what happened?"
"I don't know. It started yesterday. I tried calling, but I couldn't get through."
Taylor tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
"I guess you have another power that's starting to surface. But I didn't think it would take this long for a power to turn up."
Rachel gave him a smile.
"Neither did I. I guess we're learning more and more about ourselves each day huh?"
"Yeah, look, come back on tour with us -"
"Tay -"
"Look, I, I know that you don't want to… I know why we broke up. I wish with all my heart and soul we hadn't, but I know why. But, I'm, I'm thinking more of this new power of your when I say this."
Rachel was silent.
"C'mon Rach. Don't you think it would be better if you were among other people who have powers and may be able to help, as opposed to being around people who have no idea you even have powers? You - you might get found out, and who knows what might happen then."
There was quiet for a few moments.
"Oh, ok. But for that reason only. I… I'm not ready to get back together with you Tay."
He nodded sadly.
"I understand."

What was that?
It looked around. It could swear it had seen this place before. There was something strangely familiar here. Was this the place it had felt so driven to go? Was it here that it's quest must be fulfilled?
No.
And yet, something, something told it that it was getting closer. Somehow it knew that it's goal was not very far away.

Needlessly to say, when Taylor finally returned, he was in serious trouble. Still, somehow that all seemed quickly forgotten in the light of what Taylor had gone through.
And of course, considering this strange new power that was emerging in Rachel.
Rachel wasn't going to join them for a few more days. Hopefully, in that time, she wouldn't get caught in a spasm.
