Chapter 9

Zac followed Isaac up to their room.

"Hey Zac, you wanted something?" Isaac asked.

Zac stood there for a moment with a calculating look on his face that seemed to disturb Isaac a bit.

"Zac?"

"Trust me ok?"

Zac picked up a pair of scissors.

"I don't think you should do that." Isaac said as Zac shoved them into a power point.

Isaac watched as Zacs' hair stood up on end. Which was a pretty awesome sight too. Zac pointed his index finger at Isaac and out came a jagged, sparking flash of lightning. The bolt of volts hit Isaac smack dang in the middle of the forehead.

Zac pulled the scissors out of the socket as Isaac literally melted into a weird translucent liquid and splashed on the floor in a puddle. His eyes widened in horror.

"Uh oh! Oh no, what have I done!" he cursed himself.

Zac knelt to the floor.

"Ike? Ike? Oh, I'm so sorry Ike."

He was practically in tears. And as he gazed down at him, he could see some strange movement. As if the liquid was trying to move up instead of across.

"Oh, I wish I could help. Oh, Ike, I'm so sorry. I wish I could put you back to normal." Zac paused. "Of course! Restoration!"

Zac put his hand about three inches above his liquidised brother and frowned in concentration. Slowly, something began to happen. The liquid that was Isaac started to rise. Soon shapes and features began to form. Colour swept through his body.

Zac was panting with exhaustion by the time Isaac was nearly back to normal. In fact, he was so exhausted he couldn't do any more. He was forced to let go.

"No!"

Isaac was reverting back to a liquid state. Zac watched helplessly and exhausted, tears pouring out of his eyes. Then... Isaac started becoming human - by himself! Zac let loose a huge sigh of relief as soon as he had finished. Isaac stared at him.

"Is this a dream?" Isaac asked at last. "What's going on?"

And Zac proceeded to tell him the entire story. Naturally, Isaac was rather sceptical at first, but hey, he was soon convinced. Finding out you can turn into a liquid will do that to people.

"Telekinetic huh?" Isaac murmured. "Well, I suppose now is as good a time as any."

"Try something small." Zac suggested. "And try to focus on the goal and now how you're gonna get there. That's what I do."

Isaac looked around. He spotted a pen and just stared at it. He stuck out his tongue in concentration. The pen started to jump and a smile slowly appeared on Isaacs' face. He reached out his hand towards the pen, which he was now gradually dragging through the air towards him.

"Damn." He complained as the pen fell to the floor.

"I wouldn't worry too much Ike." Zac pointed out. "You did a lot more today than you could have done yesterday."

Isaac just nodded in reply.
