Jo grinned and blew out the candles on the surfboard shaped cake sitting before her. As timing would have it, the Hanson's and Fair Dinkum's tours met up yet again, just in time for her birthday, and the Hansons were invited to the party.
Everyone cheered as the candles were blown out and Mason handed her a knife.
"If it come out dirty, you have to kiss the nearest guy," he teased her.
Jo paused as she took the handle.
"It always comes out dirty."
"Your point?"
"I think I'll use... an egg slice."
"Then you have to kiss the nearest girl."
Jo's nose turned up.
"A spatula?"
"Everyone in the room."
"Well, that would be fairer, but I'll be nice since some people in here have girlfriends - or boyfriends. What about a fork?"
"Striptease."
"Running out of ideas? A splade?"
"No. Give me a lap dance."
"You'd enjoy that, huh? What about a spoon?"
"Kiss everyones feet."
There was laughter at Jo's expression of disgust.
"How would you cut a cake with half those things anyway Jo?" asked Drew.
"With great difficulty. Oh, ok, I'll use the knife."
Jo put the knife in the cake and cut it straight down the middle. She pulled it out, and as expected, it was dirty. The moment the knife came out, however, Taylor pushed Zac towards Jo so that he would be the nearest guy.
"Hey!" he objected. "Jo, I think you should kiss him for pushing me!"
Jo laughed.
"I'm taken," Taylor grinned.
"How conven -" but Zac couldn't finish his sentence because Jo had kissed him lightly on his lips.
"So," she said, having pulled away, "how many of us are there?"
