Chapter 17

"Where's Ike?" Taylor asked.

"He got into the garage before us." Zac replied.

The guys were planning on doing some practicing. As Taylor and Zac arrived they heard a mournful voce coming from in the garage. They opened the door to see Isaac strumming his guitar and singing dismally.

"Umm, something wrong Ike?" Taylor inquired, giving his brother a strange look.

Isaac causally looked up.

"I am so bored I am writing a song about being bored. That is how bored I am." He answered.

"Ike, you can still go out and do stuff you know." Zac commented.

"Yeah, but I can't go dirt biking, roller blading, driving, play soccer, the list goes on and on. The lack of stimulus is putting me in an inspiration drought and I'm reduced to watching movies I wouldn't normally watch."

"And writing songs about you being bored."

"Yes. This is my first one. At the rate I'm going, I could release a solo album called 'Isaac is bored' by the end of the year."

His brothers laughed.

"It's not funny!" Isaac objected. "I need to get back on tour before I go insane."

"I thought you already were insane." Taylor replied.

Isaac shook his head in dismay.

"It wouldn't be so bad if y'know, my friends didn't need to work. I mean, it's only really during work hours that I'm bored."

"I see, so now you're going to blame your boredom on your friends." Zac commented.

"Umm, yes."

"Zac, I think Ike is at the stage where he will blame anyone for him being bored."

"Shh!" Isaac joked.

"Yes, well, anyway, we gonna practice or not?" Zac asked.

"Not." Taylor kidded.

"So funny."

"Yes, I know, I said it."

"Uh oh, I think Tay's having an ego trip Ike."

"Me too. Careful Tay, or your head won't fit through the door."

Taylor just grinned.
