“What the… where’s Zac? Tell me we got Zac!” Taylor yelped looking around.
“I’m… I’m sorry…” Tristan said.
Of all the times that spasm had to take him! Just a few moments and Zac would have been in reach too. Tristan groaned and collapsed on the ground, burying his face in his hands.
“What’s going to happen to him?” Isaac asked.
“He should be safe enough where he is,” Taylor said, sounding more certain than he felt.
“If I ever get the hang of this, I’ll go back for him, I swear,” Tristan promised fervently.
“Just where are we, anyway?”
They all looked around. They were outside a motor inn along side a highway.
“Hey, I know those tour buses,” Isaac said, pointing.
“And I know those guys,” Taylor said, gesturing to the people coming out.
“Hmm, I have no idea who she is, but she seems to like you,” Isaac teased softly, seeing a slightly older Taylor kissing the girl in question.
They saw an older Isaac step out of the bus, then turned to look back in.
“Here, let me take him for you Nikki,” he said, reaching out his hands.
“Thanks, honey,” replied a women, presumably Nikki, and handed to him a noisy bundle of baby.
She pulled a stroller out of the tour bus, and the two settled the baby back inside just as Zac came out with a child about four years of age.
“No, you did not just beat me at Wii bowling, Ezra,” Zac was objecting.
Ezra giggled.
“Get your butt kicked?” asked the woman who had been kissing Taylor.
“Clearly, this is your fault Natalie,” Zac said. “He’s your son.”
“Oh really? My fault?”
“Yes. So there.”
Natalie shook her head and looked at the third woman in the group.
“How do you put up with him, Kate?”
Kate just laughed.
“Okay,” said the older Taylor. “We all ready to check in, now?”
“Yes, please,” said Natalie peering at the other two children with them.
And it was at that moment that Tristan had another spasm, and they teleported away from the scene.
