*Maybe if we all attack him at once, they’ll faulter?* Nate suggested.
*Attack the one spot,* Doug advised, his thought being picked up by Taylor. *Maybe that’ll weaken that spot in his shields.*
Doug was designated to pick the spot. He shot of his bolt of volts to a low point of Isaac’s force field.
Isaac laughed. A horrible, unnerving laugh.
“You think your puny bolt of volts can hurt me?” he taunted.
Now that the spot had been marked, Zac added his electric prowess to Dougs’. Doug also added some telekinetic pressure into the mix.
Isaac continued to laugh at them, and strode purposely towards the front door.
*Empathy, guys?* Nate suggested.
*The dominant emotion at the moment is fear,* Taylor explained. *Fear is a bad emotion to use… he may choose to strike out in it and hold tighter to his force fields.*
*Oh.*
*Tay? Can you hear me?*
*Yes, Zac?*
*I don't know about Doug, but if I'm going to have to restore Carla and Ike, umm, we're going to have to do something soon. I don't know how many bolts I have left.*
Taylor looked helplessly at Jessica. Jessica looked back, just as helplessly. Then her face brightened.
"Can't your probes get through his force fields? Wasn't that an experiment you did once?"
Taylor nodded.
"So?"
"I'll give it a try. Although, I don't know what I'd do in there."
"Turn his power off."
"I've never blocked anyone's power before," Taylor pointed out.
Taylor picked up his probe and sent it to the force field. There was no surprise in Isaac having put in the extra telepathic element he had played with, but Taylor got his probe through just as easily as he had then.
*So, Taylor's come to play?* came Isaac's voice.
*This has to end, Ike. You're not yourself. There was an accident -*
*Bah! I know all that. And I don’t care. I love being this way, did that ever occur to you? And now, you and your little friends are going to -*
Let's just say that Jessica was most alarmed at the emotions she felt coming off of Taylor in response to what Isaac was saying.
