Epilogue

"Oh gee Ike, I'm so sorry." Taylor said, running over and hugging him.

Zac also joined in.

Isaac just wiped the tears from his eyes.

"See what you've done Amarita?" Dustin asked. "Your selfish interference has caused so much trouble, not only for the Hansons but for people around them. Family, fans, friends and especially Rachel."

The three boys looked at Dustin.

"Rachel?" Taylor repeated.

"Rachel was never meant to die so soon. In the time line that should have been, she would have been alive right now."

They took a moment to comprehend this information. And, boy, if looks could kill, Amarita would be a singed skeleton by now.

"We will take a moment to decide on the verdict. And sentencing."

For once, Amarita actually looked worried.

Dustin and the 'jury' disappeared. It wasn't that long before they returned.

"By all accounts, you have been found guilty of interference causing disturbing destruction to the true time line. We are going to turn back the clock to the point of your first major interference and from that point onward Amarita, you will be human."

"Human?" Amarita repeated, wide eyed.

"Yes. Human. No powers. And no recollection of ever having them, just as you three will have no recollection of what has passed."

Isaac Taylor and Zac looked at each other.

"Good." Isaac said finally. 'I don't want to remember."

"And, Amarita? If we feel you have learned your lesson by the time this human life ends, then, and only then, will we restore you to your proper self. However, if you do not reform, your existence will end there."

"How can I learn my lesson, if I don't remember that I have to?"

"There are ways Amarita. There are ways."

And on that, the court room was empty.
