"Huh? Oh, hi Rach." He replied, lifting the earphones a little.
"Who are you listening to?"
"Heart."
Rachel gave him a weird look.
"Heart? I didn't think you've ever listened to Heart."
"I don't."
"You don't?"
"Oh, well, not until now." He shrugged. "I umm, well, when I was on my way back to my body, one of the people that I, uhh, encountered was a fan."
"Aww." She teased.
Taylor stuck his tongue out at her.
"There's this one track I really like."
"Oh?"
"It's called 'Stranded'."
"You'll have to let me hear it sometime."
"Yeah..."
There was quiet for a moment.
"Rach?"
"Yep?"
"I, I, I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I... I'm not going to wait for you any more."
"Excuse me?" Rachel asked, confused.
"I'm not going to wait for you to work out how you feel for me. I mean, I'm empathic, I know you love me Rach but -"
"Tay-"
"Shut up and let me finish."
Rachel stared, dumbfounded.
"Look. I love you. I love you a lot, but it's gotten to the point where I don't believe that's enough anymore. I'm sorry Rach, really I am. It's killing me to say this but I'm sick and tired and frustrated and I refuse to wait for you any longer."
"Wait for me to do what Taylor?"
"Wait for you to realise that you really do love me. In fact, I think deep down inside - where I can't detect your emotions - you're scared of admitting you love me as much as I love you."
"That's rather a wild accusation."
"Is it?" he demanded wryly. "No, I don't think it is. You left me helpless and empty handed and, well, I'm not going to stand living this way any longer. Good bye Rach."
